
Hey, I'm Tarah.

I started out in the kitchen when I was young, helping my grandma make our birthday cakes year after year. I quickly developed a love for working with food, cakes in particular, and was always excited to try out new recipes and decorating techniques. With a passion for sweet treats and making people smile, I launched T's Treats in 2020. In the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, my goal was to help bring sweetness back into people's lives.
About T's Treats
It wasn't a straight forward path, though. I originally went to school at the University of British Columbia here in Vancouver, British Columbia, and graduated with a degree in Speech Sciences and Psychology. Soon after graduation, I fell in love with the idea of teaching young minds, so I earned a diploma from the Association Montessori Internationale and taught at a Montessori preschool. All the while, cakes never left my heart. After a long day of teaching, I would come home and get started on custom orders, do some recipe testing, or spend the entire evening watching videos on decorating techniques.
That's when I knew what I was meant to do.

In 2022, I decided to bring my dream to life and turned T's Treats into a full time gig. As I was originally a self-taught baker, I wanted to push my boundaries a little bit further, enhance my skills, and learn from the best of the best. So, I packed up and travelled to the UK, where I earned my cake decorating certification from Le Cordon Bleu.
From my famous chewy chocolate chip cookies to elegant wedding cakes, I hope T's Treats will help make your life a little bit sweeter.
